A truly moving memorial
We visited the Memorial on our day in Geraldton while cruising with the "Sea Princess". The entire Memorial was so beautifully designed, constructed and located in a great area. It was a very moving experience to be guided around the different parts and learn of their significance. The designers are owed great credit for their insight. It was unbelievable to realise the significance of each of the sections and this did bring tears to our eyes - so many other visitors were similarly moved. The guide was so well-informed and eager to answer our questions. Children there with their parents and even they were moved by their experience. AND the respect shown by all there was great to see. The Memorial has extra significance to my husband as he served in the Navy, sailing on the HMAS "Vampire" during the Vietnam War.
